Lisa Glover – Tutti Frutti Owner

My journey in beauty began in 2007 when I left my previous role as a Payroll Supervisor at a Chartered Accountant to have my first son Jamie. As a mother with a young baby I began by becoming an Avon Representative to keep my brain active and to get me out the house. With Avon I progressed to a Sales Leader and then an Advanced Sales Leader. It was whilst selling the beauty products that I found I enjoyed make-up, pedicures, manicures so I started hosting pamper parties selling products and enjoying the time with the girls.

In July 2010, when Charlie was only 7 months old I decided to become a Beauty Therapist. Even as a student I began to grow the business practising on friends, family and friends of friends under my FHT Student Insurance. In January 2011 I transformed a room in our house into a “Home Salon” and Tutti Frutti was born.

In our first 18 months over 300 new clients walked through the Tutti Frutti doors with no advertising apart from a Facebook page using only recommendations and word of mouth.

By July 2012 I had enough clients and the opportunity to go full-time and I moved to Basepoint Andover where I enjoyed growing the business further welcoming new clients and filling my time to be fully booked often 4 weeks in advance.  Here I averaged 200 client visits monthly and worked an average of 43 hours a week.

In August 2015 I decided to expand Tutti Frutti and make it a ‘Team’ and move the salon to Weyhill Road introducing a number of Therapists to help with the high demand and a number of additional Therapies.  I have a team of qualified therapists and myself working from 3 Therapy Rooms and a Tanning Room.

I still work just as hard and can say with a huge smile on my face that “I LOVE MY JOB”.

I love keeping up with the latest techniques and products available within the industry and attend both the London and Birmingham Professional Beauty Shows.
